Franck Balloffet offers eclectic guitar lessons in Lyon, France.
After spending 27 years as a professional musician in Los Angeles, Franck is back in his hometown of Lyon, France.
Franck has taught guitar in music schools and privately for the past 25 years to students of all ages and levels.
He is now a teacher at the music school of Brindas and Thurins and gives private lessons at his place in St Genis Laval.
He teaches acoustic and electric guitar techniques for Jazz, Blues, Rock, Funk, Pop, Folk and Bluegrass.
He tailors his lessons to the needs of the student.
Private lesson rates are €40 EU per hour.
Bio
Born in Villefranche sur Saône, France, Franck started guitar as an autodidact. He played in Folk and Bluegrass bands.
He studied in Lyon at the jazz school L’ AIMRA and took private lessons with Michel Perez.
He joined Michel’s Big band of guitars in 86.
Franck moved to Los Angeles in 1987 to study at the prestigious Musician Institute (G.I.T.) in Hollywood.
His professors, Joe Diorio, Scott Henderson, Allan Hinds.
In 1988 he joined Afro-Beat pioneer Fidel Bateke's (1st Tenor Sax with Fela Kuti) group "Bateke Beat" and performed with him in California for 3 years.
Franck started his own band "SAVWA" which featured Ravi Coltrane.
He joined musician/producer Phil Bunch to create Tea Productions and have released five albums under Tea’s name.
Franck has recorded or performed with legendary keyboardist Neil Larsen, Brian Auger, Jeff Skunk Baxter (Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers), Julian Coryell, Toni Childs, Steven Brown (Tuxedo Moon), Ricardo Lemvo, Toulouse Engelhardt.
